BDH Strategic is a Sydney-based consulting company, providing services to clients in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia. Our principals and consultants have been involved in the Information Technology (IT) industry for over 20 years.


BDH Strategic’s principals are Craig Dober and Lee Humphreys. Craig and Lee spearhead our consulting services to clients, along with over a dozen full- and part-time consultants. Additionally we have partnership arrangements with a number of other organisations, who provide complimentary services - allowing us to offer a total solution to our clients.

Both Craig and Lee have substantial experience in the Information Technology industry, having been involved in all phases of a wide variety of projects, from feasibility assessment through to design, development and implementation.

Craig Dober
Craig has 20 years experience in the computer industry, in a number of senior roles including:

· Principal Consultant· Client Services Manager· Senior Project Manager · Quality Consultant · Technical Consultant· Senior Projects Officer – Networks· Project Leader· Senior Analyst Programmer

Craig has extensive experience in managing large IT development and infrastructure projects of up to $25M budget, with up to 200 staff. Additionally, Craig has been responsible for managing large consulting groups, including setting up a professional services group for a leading Australian IT organisation - providing software development, infrastructure deployment and outsourcing services to a substantial client base.

Lee Humphreys
Lee has over fifteen years experience in the Information Technology industry, particularly in software development, business consulting and quality management, in roles including:

· Principal Consultant· Senior Project Manager · Senior Business Analyst· Quality Consultant · Billing Implementation Manager· Project Leader· Senior Analyst Programmer

Lee has provided project management, business consulting and requirements gathering services to a number of industry groups, including Telecommunications, Airlines and Banking & Finance. He has extensive experience with billing systems, imaging systems, catering systems and e-commerce, and is an expert in data analysis tools and project management methodologies.


BDH Strategic Project Managers, Business Analysts and Consultants typically have the following profile:

· At least 10 yrs IT experience
· Tertiary IT qualifications
· Strong technical background
· Excellent people & communications skills
· Appreciation of the strategic “Big Picture” issues facing business and IT
· Extensive experience with, and strong advocacy of project lifecycle methodologies
· Presentable, self-motivated, focused & results-oriented

BDH Strategic believes that to be able to manage a project you need to have extensive experience in the technical aspects of the project. To this end, our consultants always come from a technical background, be it in software analysis and development, infrastructure specification and implementation, network design and management, etc. This coupled with a diverse set of industry experience and a detailed knowledge of the BTMS methodology ensures high quality “value-added” services are provided to the client – and our projects have an exceptionally high success rate.

In addition, BDH Strategic is not a “body shop”. Our staff are not “orphaned” at the client site – they are actively managed and supported. A more senior BDH resource, often a Project Director, acts as a senior support resource, for the benefit of both the consultant and the client. At times this senior resource will actively participate in the project, for example as a member of the project Steering Committee, at other times they provide an escalation point and assist with review of key documents.
